As much as everyone would like to have their relationships to be fulfilling, enjoyable and meaningful people often struggle to make that happen. Most of the difficulty originates from early childhood experiences. These early relationships with family and peers serve as a blueprint to present relationships, and as the result people often find themselves stuck in the patterns of unhealthy behaviors and ineffective communication with others, and are unable to change them.
I will use the relational therapy to help you identify your past relational experiences and understand how they are affecting your current ones. For example as much as you want to be close with people you may be pushing them away without realizing it. I will use our therapeutic relationship or/and, if you are in group therapy, relationships with other group members, or if you are in a couple counseling the relationship with your partner to help you identify the role you play in your relationships, and to develop healthier and more effective ways to connect with people in your life.
