Clinical Supervision in Rockville Centre, NY

Supervision picture

Marta Laurette is a psychotherapist who believes that clinical supervision is a vital component of every clinician’s professional development. Supervision supports therapists in becoming skilled, competent, and ultimately confident and independent practitioners. It provides a structured and reflective space where clinicians can strengthen clinical judgment, navigate ethical complexities, and integrate theory with practice in meaningful ways.

Marta Laurette offers clinical supervision to LMSW, LMHC  and newly licensed therapists who are seeking thoughtful, collaborative, and supportive guidance. She invites clinicians at various stages of their professional journey to connect with her to explore how supervision can support their growth, clinical identity, and long-term professional goals. Her approach to supervision emphasizes curiosity, respect, and a strong belief in each supervisee’s capacity to develop an authentic and effective therapeutic voice.

As a psychotherapist, Marta Laurette specializes in working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, panic attacks, trauma, relationship issues, parenting challenges, grief, and life-stage transitions. Her clinical work includes individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy. Her therapeutic style is grounded in warmth, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. She believes that effective therapy requires both deep emotional exploration and practical skill-building, a philosophy reflected in her integrative use of psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). These principles also inform her supervision work, supporting clinicians in thinking relationally while remaining attentive to structure, intervention, and outcomes.

Marta Laurette holds certificates of completion in SIFI (Seminar in Field Instruction) and Clinical Supervision: Providing Effective Supervision, Navigating Ethical Issues, and Managing Risk. Since 2022, she has been providing both individual and group supervision to clinicians working across diverse settings. In supervision, she offers a safe and supportive environment where therapists can explore case conceptualization, countertransference, boundaries, ethical dilemmas, and professional self-doubt. She supports supervisees in identifying their strengths, talents, and emerging niche, while also addressing areas that require further development.

Marta Laurette is deeply committed to ongoing professional growth and continuously updates her clinical knowledge to ensure her interventions remain current and effective. She regularly participates in advanced trainings to broaden her clinical competencies. Her recent specialized training includes consultation groups for couples therapy, racial literacy work, and ongoing participation in interpersonal and relational process groups for therapists. She has completed Levels 1 and 2 of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, advanced training in the Bonding Patterns Approach, and a multi-year training program in group psychotherapy through the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society. Her background also includes training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed therapy, and the clinical use of dream work.

Throughout her own career, Marta Laurette has greatly benefited from clinical supervision and remains grateful to the supervisors whose guidance shaped her professional development. She continues to rely on collegial consultation and collaboration, recognizing that growth in this profession is ongoing. Marta Laurette looks forward to working with clinicians who value reflection, learning, and collaboration, and who are committed to offering high-quality, ethical care to their clients.
